The sales of new homes in the united States grew by 5.8% during the month of march, surpassing the fall in the 0.5% expected and the rise of 0.3% (revised) in February.
According to the Census Bureau, this is the biggest increase registered by the indicator in eight months, particularly from July 2016.
In total, the sale of new homes has reached a figure of 621.000 in front of the 587.000 previous, improving the 585.000 provided.
On the other hand, the Bank of the Federal Reserve bank of Richmond has released its manufacturing index for April, showing a fall of 2 points since the 22 achieved in march. The indicator now stands at 20, retreating for the first time after seven months of upgrades in a row.
